I have a few exciting updates for you since last year.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Starting every Friday @ 12 pm at the studio we are having a Bible study. This is open to everyone even if you are not a client. Just bring a Bible and ask questions. No I am not leading the Bible study. One of my client's who was a Deacon at his church has offered to lead the Bible study.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Also starting every first Saturday of the month the studio will be hosting the Southside Community Church men's group. This will include Bible study and workout. I have a feeling that some of the men will be praying for strength. Just kidding guys! It will be a great fellowship and workout for the men. John &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5"&gt;Brookfield&lt;/span&gt; and Jon &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6"&gt;Bruney&lt;/span&gt; have completed this one mile record truck pull several times before. However, this time they will be increasing the pulling load and pushing themselves to complete the one mile course as quickly as possible. Many are saying that this World Record test and feat may be the greatest physical accomplishment ever when it comes to strength endurance. Featured are two of my client's who are separated in age by 20 yrs. Stacy Johnson 40, and Drew Gammon 20. The event was a 5k hosted by Master Jun Lee of Blackbelt World in Knightdale. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;I demonstrated KB's to Master Lee and also did a BattlingRopes demonstration. Everyone at the race also had a free taste test of Rehydrate which is a great recovery drink after a run or workout. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;Some of the pictures feature: Master Jun Lee of Balckbelt World, Pat O'Leary owner of Domino's Pizza in Knightdale and Cindy Blevins, owner of the Dance Center in Knightdale. This is from Wendy who has made some great changes and amazing results with her training program.  I introduced her to the Z-Health R-Phase in Feb. 2008 and when I cam back from the I-Phase certification from this past weekend, well.... I'll let Wendy tell it in her own words:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"Occasionally, since I have been working out, I have some aches and pains now and then.  Luckily I have James' knowledge of Z-Health to help me out.  Just the other day I was having trouble with my right knee.  After a few Z-Health maneuvers I felt much better and was able to bend and squat without pain.  I also notice more flexibility and better range of motion after warming up with Z-Health.  My job requires allot of sitting and typing so I have incorporated some of the Z-Health moves when I need to get up and take a break. Whew! I actually didn't mind it because I considered it a great workout. My son walked right along side of me and it only took about 4 hrs. If I hadn't taken my Muscle Fuel before the workout then I think I might not have lasted as long as I did.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Here is a picture of my lawn tractor that is on the blink.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;Congrats to Shawn Manning on achieving her RKC! The &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"&gt;Wilmington&lt;/span&gt; course was cancelled last minute but Tim and I made the most out our Saturday. We both practiced our "Z" on each other and worked on our assessments. We worked on muscle testing and assessing our S.I. joints as well. I &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2"&gt;couldn't&lt;/span&gt; believe that we spent 2 hrs on muscle testing and assessments alone! Time went by so fast. Your whole body is constantly adapting and working while you are training with a kettlebell - it’s hard to isolate a single muscle group.  You’re not creating weaknesses while you train. She cleaned for 3 sets and 5 reps per side the 53lb kb.  Most of the time it was a single arm clean but when she was getting a little tired she 2 armed it.  She never stopped and she kept her rhythm.  Way to go Sherry!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Lovina is another hard-working woman.  She is awesome.  She is the oldest (no offense) of my clients performing with the KB's.  She is 61 and looks like she is 40.  Everyone is amazed by her.  She is using the KB's to help with her golf game and it is working.   Lovina consistently trains with the 18lb kb's.  She is now using the 26lb kb and handling it very well. I let God guide me in all my business and personal decision making. I have several client's that are inspiring each other to workout, again I don't think that this is by accident.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Lauren who is a fabulous mother and hardworking client has been inspired to workout by another client Sherry. This is where things get interesting...Sherry inspired Lauren...then Lauren has been inspiring people in her neighborhood and @ her son's school to become more physically active. Sherry routinely is challenging her co-workers to workout and to put down the stale Halloween candy. Clients at the studio are inspired by both Sherry and Lauren to become more active with their exercise routine...even to the point of actually coming in on their own to workout...without an appt!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Way to go! Sherry and Lauren!! Great work!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now there is a bit of competition growing between my female KB client's. I cannot tell you how it makes me feel when a client sets a goal and then blows by that goal like its nothing! All of my female KB client's are working out primarily with the 36lb KB and some are even using the 53lb KB regularly. You women are strong, and very inspiring to me as a trainer. When I see you guys succeed and push and work, it actually makes me succeed, push and work harder in my own workout routine. Thank you for being clients and thank you for all of your hard work.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now men of the studio...I'm not leaving you out....Thom inspired Brandon and Brandon and Thom inspired Lori to come in and join on the fun of training at the studio. Thom has increased his overall strength several times at the studio and tells everyone who will listen about his strength gains. Brandon is a workhorse. He and I have initiated a workout program called,"Man-Maker Fridays" where he and I have taken part of the "300" workout test and made it into a routine for us. WOW! I hope each of you reading this receives a message from this post.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;God Loves to use weak people. Everyone has weaknesses. In fact, you have bundle of flaws and imperfections: physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual. You may also have uncontrollable circumstances that weaken you, such as financial or relational limitations. The more important issue is what you do with these.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;em&gt;"I am with you; that is all you need. My Power shows up best in weak people."&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2 Corinthians 12:9 TLB&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;To become a real servant you are going to have to settle the issue of money in your life. Jesus said,"No servant can serve two masters.....You cannot serve both God and Money" (&lt;em&gt;Luke 16:13 NIV&lt;/em&gt;) He didn't say, "You should not," but "You cannot." It is impossible. Living for ministry and living for money are mutually exclusive goals.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Bible is very clear; God uses money to test your faithfulness as a servant. That is why Jesus talked more about money than he did about either heaven or hell. He said,"If you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?" (&lt;em&gt;Luke 16:11 NIV&lt;/em&gt;) How you manage your money affects how much God can bless your life.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;God has a different perspective on your weaknesses. He says,"My thoughts and my ways are higher than yours" (&lt;em&gt;Isaiah 55:9 CEV&lt;/em&gt;), so he often acts in ways that are exact opposite of what we expect. I basically took this week off of KB training except for demonstrating the exercises for my clients. Bare in mind I have about 70% of my clients performing with KB and I work from 5a til 8p on most weekdays. So I still get a very good workout with the KB's if only I am demonstrating them. I look forward to working out with the 53lb and 70 lb KB this upcoming week.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I also received my Z-Health info this week and from what I read this is right up my alley. Man did I ever workout with the new Kettlebells on Friday and Saturday.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Friday KB workout:&lt;br /&gt;3 sets of 10 reps 70 lb kb two hand swing&lt;br /&gt;3 sets of 10 reps 70 lb kb single arm swing&lt;br /&gt;3 sets of 5 reps 70 lb kb single arm cleans&lt;br /&gt;This workout was with Lori who is a new client but really loves the kb's. She used the 26 and 36 lb kb's. I repeated this workout with Sandra on Friday afternoon she used the 26 and 36 lb kb's.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I also trained with my client Brandon who likes the weights a bit more than the kettle bells but I think he is warming up to the kb's.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Friday free weight workout:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2 sets of 15 reps 95lb per arm&lt;br /&gt;1 set of 10 reps 110lb per arm&lt;br /&gt;3 sets of 10-15 reps pull-ups on the chin-up bar&lt;br /&gt;3 sets 15 reps of hanging abs on the ab-originals&lt;br /&gt;3 sets of 15-20 reps shrugs with 125lb dumbbells per arm&lt;br /&gt;3 sets of 10-15 reps bicep curls with 30-35 lb db's per arm&lt;br /&gt;3 sets of 15-20 reps dips on the dip bar&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Saturday workout with KB's:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Only did some demos for a few client's during their personal training time with me.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3 sets of 10 reps double hand swings with 70lb kb&lt;br /&gt;3 sets of 5 reps cleans with 70lb kb per arm&lt;br /&gt;3 sets of 5 reps single kb front squat below parallel&lt;br /&gt;5 reps per side get- ups with the 36lb kb&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My client Sherry asked if we could just do the KB workout all the time now..I said of yeah baby! We had a great workout and she is very strong.  Here is our routine:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Wendy trained the whole session with the 36lb kb&lt;br /&gt;I trained with the 53 lb kb&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2 handed swings 3 sets x 30 sec intervals&lt;br /&gt;double kb front squats below parallel  3sets x 5 reps holding it at the bottom about 4-5sec&lt;br /&gt;double kb cleans 3sets x 5 reps&lt;br /&gt;single arm swings 3 sets x 10reps to end the workout&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I also swung my 70lb kb and my 88lb kb two handed swing only about 3 reps each..very heavy but I am confident I will be cleaning and snatching them soon. The men that volunteer their time away from their jobs and family to save the lives and property of others are a special breed. Make sure you say thank you to many of the emergency personnel that you may know or don't know. I can speak from experience a simple hello or thank you from the public means alot.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Kettlebell training and cross-training is great physical fitness workout for law enforcement, firemen, and all emergency personnel. Including nurses. The response from the participants was outstanding. &lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;Everyone&lt;/span&gt; felt &lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;empowered&lt;/span&gt; and &lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;confident&lt;/span&gt; with their bodies.
